Yutaka Sakurai was first licensed in 1973 as JF1LZQ. He activated T88YU from Palau in 2005 and 2007, JW/JQ2GYU from Svalbard in 2010, and will operate GJ6UW from Jersey Is. on December 2011, Yutaka and his wife, Miho (JJ2VLY), joined the DX-pedition to Layang Layang Island, 9M4SDX, in 2007. Since 2002 Yutaka has been quite active on the air from his weekend house at the foot of Mt. Fuji especially for chasing DXCC entities. He is a member of Tokyo 610 DX Group, Paper DXers, Radio Space of TINIAN, and CDXC.
